We do not ask for sensitive information, such as health information, racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs or criminal record. If a document you send us contains it, we will only use it as needed to provide the service you asked for.
We collect most information directly from you: when you complete a form or upload your resume on our website, book a consultation, speak with us by phone or video, or email us. We may also collect information from someone else with your knowledge, for example an employer who arranges outplacement support for you, or from publicly available sources such as your public LinkedIn profile.

We use software tools, including artificial intelligence services provided by Anthropic, to help us review resumes and prepare first drafts of assessments, documents and research. Our team reviews this work before it is sent to you, and the decisions about your service are made by people. Our AI providers process your information on our behalf under terms that do not permit them to use it to train their models.
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to provide our services, with:
Some of our service providers store or process information outside Australia, mainly in the United States, and Careers Expert Group has offices in other countries, including New Zealand, Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom and Ireland. We may send you career insights, updates and offers. Every marketing email includes a way to unsubscribe, and you can also ask us to stop at any time by contacting us. We will still send messages you need about a service you have booked.
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure, including access controls and secure, encrypted services. We keep your information only for as long as we need it to provide our services and meet our legal and record-keeping obligations, then securely destroy or de-identify it.
